This Privacy Policy explains how Jewelry Price Calculator ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when a merchant installs the App on their Shopify store, and when a store's customers use the calculator on the storefront.
The App is a display-only pricing estimator. It shows customers an estimated jewelry price based on rates the merchant configures (metal, stone/carat, making charges, and tax). It does not process payments, change checkout totals, or modify product prices in the store's catalog.
Merchant configuration data
When a merchant sets up the App, they enter pricing configuration such as metal types and rates, stone/carat ranges and rates, making charge rules, and tax settings. This configuration is stored using Shopify's own infrastructure (e.g., app metafields or theme settings) tied to the merchant's store. We do not maintain a separate external database of this information.
Customer calculator inputs
When a customer uses the calculator on the storefront (entering weight and carat values), those inputs are used only to calculate an estimated price in real time, directly in the customer's browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit these inputs to any server, and we do not link them to any customer identity.
Shopify API access
The App requests only the access scopes needed to read and write its own configuration and to display the calculator via a theme app block. It does not request access to customer personal information, order data, or payment details beyond what Shopify requires for basic app functionality.
Basic technical data
Like most web applications, our systems may automatically log limited technical information (such as request timestamps or error logs) for the purpose of maintaining and troubleshooting the App. We do not use this information for tracking or profiling.

We do not sell, rent, or share merchant or customer information with third parties. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services within the App.
Merchant configuration data persists for as long as the App remains installed on the store. If a merchant uninstalls the App, Shopify's standard app-uninstall data handling applies, and we do not retain a separate copy of the configuration outside of Shopify's platform.
Customer calculator inputs are never stored, so there is nothing to retain or delete.
We rely on Shopify's platform-level security for storing app configuration data. We do not maintain a separate database of merchant or customer information that would require independent security infrastructure.
Because the App does not collect or store personal customer data, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, delete, or export on behalf of an individual customer. The App is intended for use by Shopify merchants and their storefront customers in a general retail context. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or applicable law. The "Effective date" above will be updated when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
